Heymen brings 40 years+ experience from many management functions within various international industries: Marine, Machine Building, Electronics, Plastics, Software Industries, and Professional Services. Within ABB Heymen has been responsible in the Global Business Line Power Grids High Voltages the Global Business Line Head of Operational Excellence & IS for some years. Currently is Group VP Advanced Process Analytics within ABB Global Business Services and driving Continuous Improvement initiatives on optimizing, standardizing, and automating processes, as well as rolling out an End to End Digital Supply Chain model, ABB’s ‘Digital Twin of an Organization’.

I am an Operational Excellence professional with experience in implementing Lean transformation programs in different industries. I started my never-ending continuous improvement journey in the automotive industry and got the lifetime opportunity to experience transformations in different industries – Automotive, Industrial, Energy, Electrical, Engineering, and Pharma. What has been interesting in my 18 years of Lean journey is irrespective of the industry and products, the challenges and problems in a transformation have been similar. What fascinates me about Operational excellence is the enormous impact it has on my personal life. Operational excellence has helped me gain clarity on my personal goals/vision and create a roadmap for success. Daily reflections have been part of both my professional and personal life for a long time, which makes me a better person each day. As I reflect on my journey and as I learn new things each day, I also realize that there is so much little I know. That’s the power of reflections and continuous learning
